January 20, 1942, signaled a turning point from the mass murder of Jews to a systematic genocide of European Jews in the gas chambers of Auschwitz and other death camps. On this day, a group of Germany's political elite met at the Villa Minous, the Nazi SS guest house on the Greater Wannsee lake located in a Berlin suburb, to decide on "the Final Solution to the Jewish question."

The second in a series of four consecutive Blood Moons (total lunar eclipses), which fall on the Jewish holiday of Passover and Sukkot in 2014 and 2015, is quickly approaching. With it big changes seem to be taking shape in the Palestinian struggle for statehood, a struggle which will directly effect the heritage of the Promised Land for the Jewish People. Abbas is currently rallying support before heading for the annual United Nation General Assembly next week on September 24, which is Erev Rosh HaShanah (Jewish New Year’s Eve), at which time he will endeavor to gain support for setting a date for forcing Israel out of Judea-Samaria, Israel’s heartland.

This second Passover falls exactly 30 days after the day on which the Korban Pesach (Passover lamb) was brought to the Temple to be slaughtered for the Passover Seder and eaten in the evening with matzah (unleavened bread) and herbs. This holiday is unique from every other Jewish holiday. God provided it as a day of second chances in response to the plea of the Israelites who couldn’t keep Pesach (Passover) just like they had in Egypt the year before because they had become tamai (ritually unclean).

Abbas Rejects Israel As a Jewish State

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was given a hero's welcome as he returned home from Washington. Hundreds of Palestinian Authority employees and schoolchildren gathered at his presidential office in Ramallah, thanking him for resisting United States President Barack Obama’s pressure to extend the US-brokered peace talks with Israel, which are set to end April 29, 2014. Before he left for Washington, similar rallies chanted slogans in his support, urging him not to yield to US pressure to make concessions with Israel for the sake of creating a two-state solution.

Recently, there has been a surge of interest in heavenly signs relating to end-time Bible prophecy, partly due to John Hagee’s book, Four Blood Moons: Something Is About to Change. "A blood moon is when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon," Hagee writes. "And the sun is shining through the atmosphere of the Earth and casts up on the moon a red shadow. And so the moon appears to be red." Hagee connects key events in Jewish history to several sets of four lunar eclipses (scientifically called tetrads) that have occurred around Jewish holy days and significant events in Israel’s history.

Jewish Prayer Rally at Western Wall Upholds Peace Negotiations

Last Thursday, thousands of Israelis gathered in Jerusalem at the Western (Wailing) Wall to pray “for the salvation of Israel and the inheritance,” in the hopes of cancelling “Kerry’s verdict.” The prayer rally—which also was attended by the likes of Housing and Construction Minister Uri Ariel, Deputy Religious Minister Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan, MK (member of parliament) Orit Struk and MK Moti Yogev—was a response to reports that the US Secretary of State John Kerry had proposed that Israel withdraw to the 1949 Armistice lines. “We came here to strengthen the prime minister in guarding the land of Israel,” said Rabbi Ben-Dahan. “Most residents of the country aren’t ready to divide Jerusalem, as is said to be proposed in the plan.”
