Three-Month-Old Girl Dies as Abbas’ Incitement Leads to Violence in Jerusalem

October 26, 2014 The prime minister of Israel blamed Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas for inciting violence after the attack of a Hamas terrorist, who on Wednesday plowed his car through a crowd in Jerusalem at the Ammunition Hill light rail station during rush hour, killing a baby and injuring eight others. The Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Mark Regev said, “Today’s terror attack in Jerusalem, the attack on a mother and baby, is typical of Hamas, President Abbas’ partner in the Palestinian government. President Abbas himself unfortunately continues to use inflammatory rhetoric inciting against Israelis. This is instead of being a force for peace and reconciliation.” On Thursday, Netanyahu pointed to Abbas' call on Friday to Palestinians to use "any means" to bar the settlers from the Temple Mount.

Hamas Continues to Build Terrorist Tunnels

October 24, 2014 Two months after cessation of hostilities during Operation Protective Edge, Hamas has published photos of its ongoing tunnel construction saying, “Our work does not stop.” The statement comes even as the international community prepares to dump additional billions into the Gaza economy to supposedly rebuild the destroyed buildings and infrastructure. Historically the majority of such funds have gone to enrich Hamas officials as well as pay for tunnel construction and the financing of illegal arms shipments.

Abbas and Hamas Call to Ban Jews from Temple Mount

October 19, 2014 In its latest bout of warmongering against Israel, Hamas launched a rally in Gaza City on Friday shouting for the "defense" of the al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount, while Fatah's Mahmoud Abbas urged for a ban of Jews from the holy mountain. "This is our sacred place, al-Aqsa is ours, this Noble Sanctuary (the Temple Mount) is ours … they have no right to go there and desecrate it," said Abbas of the Jews, stating that Jews should be stopped from entering the Temple Mount "by any means."

British House Majority Tries to Trump Peace Talks

October 17, 2014 On Monday, England's House of Commons voted in favour of recognizing Palestine as a state alongside Israel. In a vote that gave Hamas a virtual pass, 274 parliamentarians voted in support of a nonbinding motion to compel the government "to recognize the State of Palestine as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution." Twelve voted against the motion.

On Tuesday, Netanyahu met in person with UN chief Ban Ki-moon emphasizing that the UN has a double standard when it comes to Israel. Israel-Gaza Talks on Hold as Hamas and Fatah Strengthen Unity Government

September 30, 2014 Shortly after an Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo last week for indirect ceasefire talks with Hamas, the talks were adjourned until late October in deference to the Jewish and Muslim holidays. Talks couldn't go forward until rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah had come to an agreement, and that agreement was arrived at in Cairo a day after the talks with Israel were delayed, just in time for Abbas' address to the UNGA on Friday.

September 30, 2014 On Friday, in a venomous anti-Israel speech before the United Nations General Assembly, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas proved that the Palestinian Authority is no partner for peace. Abbas seemed determined to kill any hopes of reviving negotiations in the near future when he angrily read from a prepared speech: “It is impossible and I repeat—it is impossible—to return to the cycle of negotiations that failed to deal with the substance of the matter and the fundamental question. The time has come to end this settlement occupation.”
