UN General Assembly Holds First Conference on the Global Rise of Anti-Semitism

January 26, 2015 On Thursday, in response to growing global anti-Semitism, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held its first conference on the rising global tide of anti-Semitism. Included among the speakers was French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy who traced the history of anti-Semitism back to its roots, including the blood libels against the Jews, and the claim of responsibility for the killing of the Messiah (Yeshua–Jesus). He also spoke of the present attacks on Israel in the form of boycotts and how such vindictiveness can affect an entire society.

English Poll Reveals Half of Britons Hold Anti-Semitic Views

Iranian-Backed Hezbollah Threatens to Invade Israel

Jewish Prosecutor Found Dead

January 20, 2015 The body of Alberto Nisman, Argentina’s special prosecutor in the July 1994 bombing of the Buenos Aires Jewish Community Center building case was found in a pool of blood late Sunday. Last week, he had charged President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner (serving her 2nd term in office) of obstructing the investigation and attempting to cover up Iranian involvement in the attack.

Nations Rally Against Terror

January 14, 2015 The victims of the Paris attacks were buried at ceremonies in France and Israel yesterday. In Israel, thousands of mourners attended the funeral of the four Jewish victims of terrorism at a kosher supermarket in Paris, joining dignitaries and the families of the four slain. "On this day, when four new graves have been dug in the soil of Jerusalem, the entire State of Israel embraces you with love," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the families. "These graves are the final resting place of Philippe, Yoav, Yohan and François-Michel. Four dear, upstanding people who loved their fellows. Four people who, like the victims from Toulouse who are buried here, were murdered only because they were Jewish. Their lives were cut short in a frenzy of hatred by a despised murderer."

PA Applies to ICC After Failed Statehood Bid at UN Security Council

January 13, 2015 The Palestinian ambassador to the submitted a request this Friday to join 22 international treaties including the International Criminal Court, despite a failed bid for Palestinian statehood in the UN Security two days prior. The Palestinian Authority (PA) has been eligible to apply to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court at the Hague since November 2012, when the UN General Assembly agreed to categorize it as a "nonmember observer state."
