Israel Heartbroken as Kidnapped Boys Laid to Rest

The entire nation of Israel remains brokenhearted and united in grief with the devastated families of the three kidnapped Israeli boys, Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar, both 16, and Eyal Yifrah, 19, whose bodies were found Monday afternoon. Eighteen days after they were abducted and killed, the teens were discovered at about 5 p.m., bound and partially buried in an open field less than 20 kilometers (12 miles) from where they had been abducted. Israeli security forces had been conducting extensive searches in the area, which had been sealed off and declared a closed military zone. Ahead of a massive, joint funeral for the three murdered youths, Bat-Galim Shaar eulogized her son Gilad on Monday during a ceremony in their hometown of Talmon.

Mother of Kidnapped Teen Pleads with UN for Help

On Tuesday, Rachel Frenkel, the mother of Naftali, made a brief impassioned speech at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, imploring the United Nations and the world community to do everything possible to return the kidnapped boys to their families. Emphasizing that having a son taken is every mother’s nightmare, she said, “Twelve days ago, my son Naftali, and two other teenage students, Eyal Yifrah and Gilad Shaer—whose mothers are sitting behind me—were kidnapped on their way home from school. Since then, we’ve heard nothing—no news, no sign of life.”

This summer, many of Gaza's children will be participating in about 70 Hamas camp sessions at which they will learn to shoot anti-tank weapons and Kalashnikov rifles, dismantle guns blindfolded and enact kidnappings of Israelis.

Families of Abducted Teens Call on the World to Help Free Their Boys

On Tuesday, the boys’ families gathered together for mutual support for the first time at the Frenkel home in Nof Ayalon, a city in central Israel near Modiin. Mrs. Frenkel urged everyone to keep praying for the boys’ protection. "We want … to strengthen security forces, who are working day and night, the decision-makers, and the prime minister, who is in contact with us," she said, adding: "We feel deeply embraced by the entire Jewish nation, which accompanies us throughout the day, which gives us so much support."

Violence Against Jews on the Rise in Jerusalem

On Friday, a foiled suicide bomb attempt at the Tapuach Junction near the Samarian community of Ariel led to an area-wide manhunt for the terror cell behind the attack. It is believed that at least three other terrorists are involved. There is concern that additional attacks will be attempted since the group is thought to possess additional bomb belts and other weapons. The suspect aroused suspicion because he was wearing an unusually large coat in the heat. He was arrested when he refused to remove it. The arrest took place before any damage could be inflicted.

Justin Timberlake Defies Boycott to Visit Israel

Justin Timberlake, who performed in Tel Aviv on Jerusalem Day, managed to raise the ire of his Palestinian fans on Tuesday when he posted a photo of himself at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on social media, which he gave the hashtag #Israel and captioned—“What an experience. I will never forget this day.” Within two hours, the Instagram post had received close to 150,000 likes. The response was not all positive, however. One Instagram user responded, “There was never an Israel, this was always Palestine.”

Global Study Reveals One in Four People Anti-Semitic

In an unprecedented global survey, the Anti-Defamation League has found that more than one in four adults worldwide (1.09 billion people) hold deeply stereotypical and negative views toward Jews, with the top 16 countries having the greatest percentages of anti-Semitism found in the Middle East. Judea-Samaria-Gaza, Iraq, and Yemen top the charts with index scores of 93 percent, 92 percent and 88 percent, respectively. Palestinians aged 50 and older resoundingly scored high at 98 percent, with their younger counterparts in the 18–49 range scoring 92 percent, the study concluded.

Hamas media continue to brainwash children and incite violence against the Jewish People. The weekly Hamas children’s program Tomorrow's Pioneers is promoting killing Jews, according to Palwatch. In a recent show, an adult in a bee costume told children to take stones and “smash” Jewish neighbors. As well, the child host directed a young girl, who expressed a desire to be a police officer when she grows up, to see such a job as an opportunity to shoot all the Jews.
