75 Torah Scrolls for the Fallen Brought to Western Wall

August 17, 2015 A Wednesday ceremony in Jerusalem returned to the Western (Wailing) Wall the same Torah scroll that was carried to the Western Wall at its liberation during the 1967 Six Day War. This scroll was used at that time in the first Jewish prayer service since the 1948 War of Independence.

Earthquake Hits Israel

June 29, 2015 An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Israel on Saturday, mostly in the south. While earthquakes are not uncommon in Israel, they are most often experienced in the north or around Jerusalem. Earthquakes in the south of the country are more unusual. Arsonists Torch Church of the Multiplication

June 22, 2015 Arsonist torched the Church of the Multiplication in Tabgha, which commemorates the miracle of the loaves and fishes in which Yeshua (Jesus) fed a multitude of 5,000. At the time of the attack there were 12 volunteers sleeping in the church dormitory. Two people, a 19-year-old tourist and a 79-year-old church volunteer, suffered from slight smoke inhalation.
