“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah,… I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in My wrath. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I take vengeance on them.’” (Ezekiel 25:15–17)
Last week, as Israel was presenting to the world the haul of weapons caught in passage from Iran to Gaza, Hamas unveiled a monument with a rocket on the top, designed to honor its ability to strike Israel.
At the unveiling, a Hamas leader of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades military wing said, “Hamas managed to take the battle to the heart of the Zionist entity (Israel) after developing its rocket system, succeeding where many Arab armies had failed.”
Last week, as well, hundreds of Hamas rockets rained down on Israeli cities.
Beginning on March 12th, rockets were fired from the east Gaza neighborhood of Shuja’iyya. The Islamic Jihad’s military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, took credit for the attacks. (JP)

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara speak with UK Prime Minister David Cameron outside the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem.
At a joint press conference the following day with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “If there is no quiet in our south, no quiet for the residents of Israel, there will be noise, lots of noise in Gaza.”
Earlier, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon had said that such attacks will not go without a response.
“We will not let Islamic Jihad or anybody else in Gaza disrupt the life of Israel’s citizens,” Ya’alon said. “When it’s not quiet in southern Israel, it won’t be quiet in Gaza—so that the terrorists will regret their rocket fire.” (Times of Israel)
Prime Minister Cameron, who was in Israel for his first visit as prime minister of the UK, condemned the attacks calling them barbaric. He stressed that “there is no violent route to statehood” for the Palestinians.
“Let me be absolutely clear about these attacks from Gaza, we condemn them completely,” Cameron said. “They are a reminder once again of the importance of maintaining and securing Israel’s future and the security threats you face, and you have Britain’s support in facing those security threats.”
