InSightec Masterminds Operating Room of the Future
“Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing.  Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.”  (Zechariah 8:13)
A completely non-invasive surgery is being developed by an Israeli startup, InSightec, that enables precise, targeted removal of disease inside the human body—without the patient ever undergoing the knife.
InSightec has developed this next-generation operating technology by combining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and focused ultrasound.
Because no incisions are necessary, recovery time is greatly shortened.
The system has been approved in the United States and the European Union for  treating uterine fibroids.
Using traditional surgical procedures, it normally takes weeks for a woman to recover, but this advanced technology gets her on her feet again fast.
“In our treatment, the next day the patient is back to her life: work, family, whatever.  It’s a dramatic change for the women,” said InSightec founder and president, Jackob “Kobi” Vortman.
Vortman said he believes this breakthrough technology soon will help patients with brain tumors, prostate cancer, liver tumors, and breast cancers.
“The technology allows us to treat almost any tumor inside the body,” he said.
His hope is that it will help millions of people globally.
