Hamas Rebuilds Tunnels and Amasses Weapons Against Israel

September 15, 2014

“Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother.  And why did he murder him?  Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.”  (1 John 3:12)

An Al-Jazeera reporter recently revealed that Hamas has already begun rebuilding terrorist tunnels for attacking Israel.

He was blindfolded and carted to a Hamas tunnel on September 4, 2014, where he reported from inside concrete-lined walls snaking toward Israeli soil.

The reporter walked to the end of the tunnel where a masked Jihadi militant scraped dirt away from the end of the tunnel with a hoe.

“We are now inside one of the tunnels of the Al-Quds Brigades, on which work began the minute the war on Gaza ended and the ceasefire was declared,” the digger told the reporter in a video translated by MEMRI.

“We have begun work, and we are continuing it, regardless of the threats by the Zionist enemy,” the digger said.  “We will not be hindered by the threats of the enemy, or by the ban on importing cement and other building materials.”

An Israeli official confirmed Hamas preparations, claiming Hamas’ rocket-making capacity is at 40 percent of what it was prior to Operation Protective Edge.  (BIN)

“Hamas did not wait a single moment after the last round of fighting and began its rearmament in anticipation of another round of fighting,” the official stated.

Daniel Tragerman

Four-year-old Daniel Tragerman was killed by a Hamas rocket as he played inside his home.

Hamas showed its commitment to harming Israel even in the last moments before the August 26 ceasefire took effect, raining 12 mortar shells onto a communal farm near Gaza that killed two Israelis.  Four days prior, Hamas mortar fire had killed 4-year-old Daniel Tragerman at his family’s kibbutz near Gaza.

As well, a recent Palestinian Center for Public Opinion poll found that 88.9 percent of Gazans “support the firing of rockets from Gaza at Israel.”

Moreover, Israel’s sworn enemy Iran, which has invested in recent years in increasing its nuclear capacity, publicly committed at the tail end of this summer’s war to help rearm terrorists in Gaza and Judea-Samaria (the “West Bank”).

Whereas Gaza’s Qassam rockets have wreaked havoc on Israeli towns within 12 miles (20 km) of the Strip, Iran’s FAJR-5 rockets gifted to Gazan militants reach up to 47 miles (75 km), an area encompassing Tel Aviv, Beer Sheva and Jerusalem.

The new Syrian-made M-302s sourced from Syria and China can reach 100 miles (160 km).

These M-302s are 20 feet tall and 1 foot in diameter, weighing up to 750 kg (1,653 lbs) and able to issue a gas cloud fire-burst explosion that would “instantly (rupture) human lungs causing suffocation, and death within minutes,” writes Arutz Sheva’s Mark Langfan.

Langfan adds that the “powerful shockwave (following) the explosion [is] equal to approximately 2,000 pounds of TNT.”

These rockets are also called the Khaibar-1 rocket, named after the Battle of Khaibar in AD 628 against a Jewish settlement of the same name, 60 miles from Medina, in which Muhammad and his army slaughtered and exiled the last Jews of Arabia.

When Israel’s enemies invoke the name of Khaibar, they do so to terrorize the Jewish People with the threat of their total slaughter at the hand of the Muslims.

On March 5th, 2014, 40 Khaibar-1 rockets were among thousands of other weapons found by the IDF on the Panamanian merchant ship Klos-C in the Red Sea.

“According to the IDF, the (Khaibar-1) rockets were manufactured in Syria and then transported to Iran for shipment to Gaza,” writes Armament Research Services.  “Iran is known to have assisted with Syrian rocketry programs in the past, and there is an established precedent of weapons being manufactured in Syria and then transferred to Iran, and further abroad.”

Islam’s mosques are also inciting congregants to aggression and murder.

On September 5, Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar told worshipers at the Martyr Abdullah Azzam Mosque in Gaza City that Israel would be eliminated in one day if the West Bank had one quarter of the weapons that the Gaza Strip has.  (Gatestone Institute)

On August 29th, Muslim sheikh Iyad Abu Mujahid Funun raising up an assault rifle and provoking his congregants to a frenzy.  His sermon was broadcast via YouTube and translated by MEMRI.

“This war has proven that these weapons are our only means to liberate our lands,” he said.   “These weapons are our only means to establish the Islamic state…Muhammad’s caliphate.”

According to MEMRI, Abu Funun was released in 2011 as part of the deal to free Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit, who was kidnapped in 2006 and held for over five years by Hamas.

He served nine years of a 29-year sentence in an Israeli prison.  Although he was rearrested after being released, he went on a hunger strike and was deported to Gaza in mid-2013.

“Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.  We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other.  Anyone who does not love remains in death.”  (1 John 3:13–14)
